This is a good book to get someone started in boat building. it starts out with easy to follow explanations of the tools and techniques needed to build very simple but useful plywood boats, such as the author's "mouse" series.. It truly simplifies boat building from the old fashioned strip plank method and vastly speeds your project to completion. i don't know of a better book on building with plywood and they have a long history of not only designing but building good solid boats.. This is a "must" book for both the beginner and accomplished boatbuilder who plans to build a boat using plywood. numerous drawings and photos help put this building method in perspective and illustrate how almost anyone can build a plywood boat.. With some previous experience in boat- building. if you are building a boat for the first time, you will be wise to first read part 9, "build your boat right," beginning on " page 161; fundamentals are treated here. there are two chief precautions to ob- serve when building a sheet-plywood boat.
